This question was phrased by the source as follows: "Below is a list of institutions. For each one, please indicate how much you trust that institution to do what is right using a nine-point scale where one means that you “do not trust them at all” and nine means that you “trust them a great deal" Figures for years prior to 2023 come from earlier publications.
During a 2024 survey, ** percent of respondents from ** countries across the world stated that they trusted the media as a source of reliable information, up by *** percent from the previous year. The reported also revealed that the countries with the most trust in media were China and Indonesia, whereas Japan fared the poorest in that regard with just ** percent of respondents saying that they had faith in the media.
