As of May 2024, more than a quarter of adults worldwide have admitted to acquiring content or digital products and services through illegal means. Indonesia (43 percent) and Mexico (40 percent) reported the highest rates in this regard. However, two-thirds of German respondents said they have not engaged in such illegal activities.
